![]() ![]() ![]() Treyarch was finally able to get out of Infinity Ward’s shadow and establish itself as a premier Call of Duty studio with 2010’s Black Ops. ![]() The new massive mode Ground War is a fantastic addition to its multiplayer offerings that should satisfy those left in the cold by DICE’s decision to skip a 2019 Battlefield release. Its straightforward progression system emphasizes continued play and doesn’t include microtransactions for unlocking any weapons. ![]() Modern Warfare doesn’t disappoint as a multiplayer game, either, building on the foundation of its predecessors while adding new mechanics, such as reloading while aiming down the sights. Regardless of the naming conventions, the rebooted 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare nails the atmosphere and tense first-person action of the older games’ campaigns, complete with several set-piece moments and a generous sprinkling of stealth. Enjoy! by a game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare appearing on our list alongside Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare? It gets even more confusing when you discover that the games share characters but are not narratively connected aside from the mention of a few events. PS Plus members: Call of Duty: WWII is part of the monthly games lineup for June, and will be available for download starting May 26. In terms of content, there’s plenty to like especially if you choose to indulge in the Nazi Zombies mode (though additional DLC needs to be purchased to enjoy it all).Ĭall of Duty: WW2 won’t be the only free game offered for PlayStation Plus subscribers in June 2020. It featured a decent single-player campaign though multiplayer took several updates to really get into gear. Released in 2017, Call of Duty: WW2 saw the series return to its World War 2 roots. Confusing dates? Slightly but that just means that PS Plus subscribers will have a head-start. It’s Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WW2, which will be available to download starting tomorrow. Before June has even arrived, Sony has announced the first free game for PlayStation Plus subscribers. ![]()
